Kaipara Wedding

Melanie & Mike's Kaipara wedding happened only a week and a half before the first lockdown, they were very lucky that they managed to have their dream day and then get to have lockdown as their 'honeymoon'. Their wedding day was an absolute stunner, and it was celebrated at Mike's mum's farm in South Head, close to Helensville, overlooking the Kaipara Harbour.
It was a true farm style wedding, with the ceremony taking place in a paddock under an impressive Pohutukawa tree, and witnessed by close family and friends seated on hay bales. Mike’s grandfather had been asked by the couple to hold the ceremony, and Melanie's parents had flown in from the UK to give their daughter away.
The reception was a short stroll away, in a previous aircraft hanger - plus points for cool factor! - and guests got to enjoy lawn games whilst hanging out watching the beautiful sunset. The party continued late into the warm summer's evening with live music and some fantastic dance moves!
